What is your check-in and check-out time?

Check-in time is from 2:00 pm..

Check-out time is prior to 10:30 am - late check-outs after this time may incur an extra charge and are subject to availability. Please check with the reception at the time of check-in.

The front desk is available 24 hours a day should you require a late check-in or an early checkout.

       

Do you have a car park and how much does it cost?

Secure, undercover car parking is available for $35.00 per day. This is situated beneath Cambridge Hotel and the entrance is located off Lower Campbell Street. *In-house guests will need to collect a ticket when they enter the car park and have it validated at Reception to receive the discounted rate.

Parking is based on a first in first served basis. We do not reserve spaces. Spaces cannot be guaranteed.

Please note paid parking is valid until 2pm the following day.

*Parking is not suitable for large Sedans and SUV's. Please note the car park has a height restriction of 1.8 metres. There is also a steep upward entry point, low profile cars may have difficulty with entry and exit which may cause damage. The hotel accepts no liability for any damage. The closest car park with a height allowance of 1.98 meters is located on the corner of Elizabeth & Goulburn Street.

    

Is there Room Service?

Room service is available for lunch, and dinner with a menu offering a wide variety of dishes.

                       

What are the internet access prices?

When traveling, being connected online is almost a necessity. That's why Cambridge Hotel offers all our guests unlimited free Wi-Fi. 

            

What can I do if I left an important item behind (Lost Property) after my stay?

Leaving behind a personal item or an important document is sometimes part of the travel experience.

It is an important priority and we will try our very best to find your valuable item. Please contact the hotel on either 1800 251 901 or +61 2 9212 1111.

         

What transfers are available from the airport?

Once you arrive at the airport make your way to the Travellers' Services counter after you collect your luggage. You can book a return shuttle direct to the Cambridge Hotel for around $30.00 per person or $16 one way.

If you are arriving after 8 pm, please make other arrangements as the last shuttle is at 8.30 pm.

A taxi will cost around $40.00 - $60.00.

     

Where are the best areas for dining or recommended restaurants?

Cambridge Hotel is situated in Surry Hills, an area famous for its wide range of eateries so you won't go hungry here! There are also many other areas around Sydney, depending on what you are looking for and the kind of atmosphere you prefer. If you wish to venture further away from the hotel you will find a wide variety of restaurants when you visit places such as Darling Harbour, Chinatown/Haymarket, or The Rocks. Take a walk and you will find yourself the best restaurants of the day that suits exactly what you need any time of the day.

Where can I store my luggage?

Should you arrive at the Cambridge Hotel earlier than check-in time we will be more than happy to store any luggage until the room is ready free of charge. Guest can also store luggage post check out if required.

Our knowledgeable team are located at the front desk and will be able to provide you with information about all the local attractions Sydney has to offer.

Will my credit card be charged immediately when making a booking and before my arrival?

We require a valid credit card at the time of booking however, no payment is taken until arrival. Upon arrival full payment of the accommodation is required along with an additional $50 pre authorisation.

                  

Are there any laundry / self-laundry facilities in the hotel?

There are self-laundry facilities onsite, alternatively, the hotel offers in-house guests dry cleaning services.

          

Does the hotel offer smoking rooms?

The hotel is a non-smoking property.

         

Is it safe to leave my personal belongings in the hotel room?

In-house guests are given key cards, which have been set up with its own unique security code. In addition, there is a safe in the hotel room that enables you to place your personal belongings and lock it by keying your own unique security pin code. 
                      

What are the best ways to get around town and surrounds?

Our hotel is conveniently located in the lively suburb of Surry Hills - just a short walk from Sydney's CBD. If you're looking to get out and about, we are minutes from the vibrant restaurant and shopping precincts of Crown and Oxford Street.

If you want to enjoy the rest of Sydney - that won't be a problem either; the Cambridge Hotel Sydney is just a 10-minute walk from Central Station and a 6-7minute walk from Museum Station; the public transport mecca that will make exploring the city easy. There are also plenty of buses located on Oxford Street that can take you to Bondi Beach, Coogee Beach, and many more suburbs.

To use public transport in Sydney you will require an Opal card. These can be purchased and topped up from a convenience store.

        

How far is Central Station/ Darling Harbour/ Circular Quay from the hotel?

Central station is located 1.1 km from the Hotel, Approximately 10-12-minute walk.

Darling Harbour is located 1.2 km from the Hotel, Approximately 10-15-minute walk.

Circular Quay is located 2.2 km from the Hotel, Approximately 20-25 minute walk.

Do we have a mini bar in the room?

Mini bar items are available on request.

        

Nearest supermarket or shop?

There are a number of 24-hour convenience stores in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.

There is a Woolworths within a 5-minute walk of the hotel and Aldi is just at the end of the street.

          

What activities or attractions are available for my children?

There are numerous options for children of all ages near the hotel. Just to name a few the Sydney Aquarium, Sydney Wildlife World and Madame Tussauds promise a great day out for the family!

Do you provide babysitting services?

We don't directly organise or offer babysitting services to our guests. We do recommend contacting Dial An Angel who will be able to organise a baby sitter for you.

    

Can we park casually in your car park if we are not a guest?

You certainly can use our parking facilities if you are not a guest. Please follow this link to organise.
