Chicken and Sons
Chicken and Sons Surry Hills is a collaboration with the Horse Hotel.
They've made quite the name for themselves in the Sydney hospo game by doing their fried chicken in a smoker, combining the city's love for smoky barbecue and all things fried. This time their chicken train has stoped at one of Crown Street's mainstay pubs — permanently.
Think truffled mac 'n' cheese, All The Roasted Meats, and that famous buttermilk chicken by the wing, half or whole. Of course, C&S will be cranking out their beloved burgers, from 'The Motherclucker' to the 'Royale with Cheese'.
Locals Tip: The Sunday roast here pulls a serious crowd, not to mention the Yorkshire pudding with onion gravy Yummy.
The White Horse hosts regular live music, has a lovely rooftop terrace and is a popular drinking hole for Surry Hills locals. Order a drink from the bar, and shoot some pool while you wait for your food. Chicken & Sons strikes the perfect balance of hangover cures and healthy meals which means you can dine there a few nights of the week depending on your mood.
